Shekinah Peredo
Analyst
Shekinah (they/she) received a BSW from Humboldt State University and has worked in the fields of sexual assault prevention, education, juvenile justice, and now in child welfare with the Office of the Foster Care Ombudsperson. As an Intake & Training Analyst, their main roles include conducting phone intakes for the office’s hotlines, facilitating foster youth rights and Reasonable and Prudent Parent Standard trainings, and developing print and digital media.

foster youth in California by investigating and resolving complaints
about foster youth rights, care, placement, and services.
