Yeraldy Calderón
Analyst
Yeraldy Calderón joined the OFCO as an Associated Governmental Program Analyst within the investigation’s unit in 2020. She is excited to be part of the OFCO team and investigate concerns related to foster youth care, placement and services. Prior to joining the OFCO, she served children and families in various capacities in a preventative community-based program at a non-profit, county level at Child Protective Services, and at a state level where she was an analyst in the Continuum of Care Reform Branch. Yeraldy is passionate about advocating, serving and promoting equity for underrepresented communities. She is fluent in Spanish.
Yeraldy earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology in 2014 and in 2017 her Master’s in Social Work at California State University Sacramento.
On her spare time, she enjoys hiking and exploring new coffee shops with Teddy, her seven-pound yorkie.
The California Office of the Foster Care Ombudsperson is dedicated to serving
foster youth in California by investigating and resolving complaints
about foster youth rights, care, placement, and services.
